Onward to Tucson

We stayed in a first class RV park in Tucson called The Voyager. This is the Cadillac of RV Parks. No chance of getting bored here. Pages of daily activities: golf, tennis, quilting, pickle ball (what is that anyway?) lapidary, water aeorbics, cards, bingo, computer classes, dancing, choirs...the list goes on. Not to mention several swimming pools. I didn't see anything I really wanted to do. Mark went and played pinocle a few times.  We had a great time in Tucson. We met our friend Elaine and toured around to an interesting place called The Oasis.  It is literally an oasis in the desert.

We were able to find a beautiful statue honoring The Mormon Battalion downtown Tucson in The Presidio Park.  It was well done and with great detail. You could even seen the torn clothing after their great journey.

THE MORMON BATTALION STATUE IN PRESIDIO PARK
This was one of the longest military marches in history. It was over 2,000 miles.
